Update
I finally got around to blogging. If you are reading this, it means that you haven't completely given up on me just yet. Thanks. So here is what's been going on.
- I am alive and well, though many have lost hope. - The 4 weeks at home were a blast. Now I'm back and still processing the truckload of news so carelessly dumped on my head. Thanks to all the contributors. - This summer I set a new (at least for myself) record of moving in and out: 6 times! - Today is the Independence Day of Ukraine. - My best friends in both of my worlds got married. - For the first time in my life I had a (relatively) full-time job. As a result, again, for the first time in my life I yelled at a sixty-seven-year-old woman and preferred extra sleep to a spontaneous trip to Toronto. Still very embarrassed for both. Yeah, I've never been so ready to go back to school... - Cut my hair. - Got a tattoo. - Fell in love with the beautiful city of Montreal. Why wasn't I born French? - My (younger!) brother made a note that looking at the bill when you are not paying is poor taste. The glorious days of being an older sister are nearing the end. Or maybe they're just starting, but with the emphasis on "sister" as opposed to "older". - I never ended up traveling around Eastern Europe. - Kids started addressing me "madam" (Frau, женщина, etc). The very first time I heard that, it made me feel 20 kg heavier and 20 years older. - My temporary roommate is laughing by herself in the living room. - I finally own some good Ukrainian and Russian music. |
